Welcome! The opportunity to become Mayor of Venice, our very unique "paradise", is a most special honor of my life.
I am running for election to keep the City of Venice free of special interest influence and control and to ensure that the citizen's vision for the future of Venice is implemented. If elected, I will provide a new kind of independent leadership to Venice using my business and legal background and experience.

Marshall Happer is running for Mayor as an independent non-partisan candidate. He will find solutions to the challenging issues that have divided us and lead our City forward with high integrity so that we will have a City that is dynamic, citizen-friendly, financially sound and well-managed.
In addition to being our governing authority, our City is also a $60-$72 million business providing important municipal services for all of us. Marshall's business and professional experience with large corporate budgets and numerous employees and his experience in the negotiation of many high value business contracts has prepared him well for the required oversight of the City's finances, financial planning for the future and its management. Marshall's legal background will be valuable to help solve the various legal issues confronting the City.
